Unirea, the central area with the most high rent increase in 2008
The Unirii area recorded in this year the highest increases in rent in Bucharest, as a follow-up of the finalisation of some new residential projects that have been bought by investers with the purpose of renting.
The Romana area has witnessed a smaller rent increase than Unirii, where the average rise was of 10% - 12%. This increase is mostly caused by the completion of several new residential projects, that have been bought by investors especially with renting purposes.
The most solicitated areas in Bucharest are Unirii, 13 Septembrie, Dorobanti, for apartments, and Primaverii, Aviatorilor and Herastrau for penthouses or villas.
