In october, the number of building permits has dropped with 7,9 %
In October, 5677 building permits were released for residential buildings, with 7, 9 % fewer than September 2008, and with 11% more than October 2007, according to the NSI – National Statistics Institute.
Most of the permits released in October, 61, 6%, were released for the rural environment, keeping the previous month’s trend.
A growing tendency for the building permits has been recorded in 2 of the 8 development regions: Center (plus 107 authorisations) & West (plus 38 authorisations). Decreases of the number of permits released for constructing residential buildings were recorded in North-East, Bucharest-Ilfov, South-West Oltenia, South-Est, North-West and South-Muntenia. Compared with October 2007, the number of bulding permits released for residential buildings has grown in the development regions Center (plus 403 authorisations), North-East (plus 337 authorisations), South-Muntenia (plus 94 authorisations) and South-West Oltenia (plus 69 authorisations).
Decreases have been recorded in the remaining regions, the most significant being recorded in the following regions: Bucharest-Ilfov (minus 189 authorisations) and South-East (minus 67 authorisations). In the first 10 months of 2008, 53.132 authorisations for builing residential buildings were released, with 10,7% more than in the same period last year. The most important increases were recorded in the development regions of South-Muntenia (plus 1.361 authorisations), North-East (plus 1.297 authorisations), Center (plus 1.136 authorisations) and Bucharest-Ilfov(plus 729 authorisations). In the West and South-East development areas, a decrease was recorded in the number of bulding permits released for constructing residential buildings.
