The average prices demanded for the housing units put on sale in Bucharest dropped by a maximum 6% from January to June, and now range between 37,500 euros for a studio to 103,370 euros for a 4-room suite.
\"The downward trend of prices demanded for Bucharest housing units these years continues in the first half of 2012. If in 2009 the drops exceeded 25% for six months, in 2012 owners asked 4-5% less than from January until now,” according to the classifieds portal Anunţuriparticulari.ro.
The average price demanded for a studio in Bucharest reached 35,700 euros, 5% less than in January, when the average was 37,510 euros. In June last year, the average price was around 37,600 euros.
A similar situation is encountered in the segment of 2-room apartments, whose average price lost 4% since January, to 55,500 euros, and 6% less year-on-year.
In the 3-room segment, the average price asked by owners reached 76,490 euros, down 5% against January this year. In June 2011, it was 80,160 euros.
The decline was not so obvious in the 4-roomer category, with an average price of 103,374 euros, 1% less than in January 2012, and also under June last year (104,650 euros).
\"The real estate offer this June is similar to the same interval of previous years, with 2,367 offers posted last month on Anunturiparticulari.ro, and over 13,000 apartments put on sale this year so far,” reads the report.
