Tallest building in Romania is ready

The tallest building in Romania was finalized, and stands at 137 meters tall, with Raiffeisen able to move into it by the end of the year, Capital.ro writes. Sky Tower was already the tallest building in Romania three weeks and a half before reaching the maximum height of 137 meters and 37 floors.

Workers still need to put up the glass panels on the highest floors and as of November, the tallest building in Romanai will be handed over to Raiffeisen. Located near subway station Aurel Vlaicu, Floreasca City was developed by Raiffeisen Evolution on the four-hectare plot of land of a former factory. The Austrians paid about 50 million Euro for the plot of land and design and besides the SkyTower, which has a surface of 77,000 square meters, they are developing a second office building of about 23,000 square meters and a commercial center with a sale surface of 35,000 square meters. Sky Tower was made of 50,000 cubic meters of concrete, 8,300 tons of steel and 17,250 square meters of faƧade. It also has five underground floors going 60 meters deep. Each of the underground floors has 5,393 square meters and will allow the creation of a parking lost for 500 cars.
