6,800 Euro – a month’s rent for a Bucharest apartment. The highest rents in large cities across the country

The owner of the most expensive apartment currently for rent in Romania is demanding 6,800 Euro a month. The apartment, located in Herastrau, has a 450 square meter surface, according to a study by imobiliare.ro, which also shows that 15.5% of the offers have a monthly rent of over 1,000 Euro, Mediafax reports.

“On a market that is still in full crisis, 15.5% of the apartments for rent on imobiliare.ro are for the high end segments. Thus, 1,107 of the 7,173 apartments for rent have a monthly rent of over 1,000 Euro,” a press release from the real estate portal said. The most expensive apartment is a 450 square meter penthouse in Herastrau, whose monthly rent is 6,800 Euro, the equivalent of 14 gross average salaries in Romania. The second most expensive is an apartment in Dorobanti which has three bedrooms, one living room, four bathrooms, four terraces and others. For 4,500 Euro, the offer is more diverse. In Pipera, one can rent a 380 square meter penthouse for this money. Across the country: The most expensive apartment for rent in Cluj is made of living room with kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and others, for a monthly rent of 1,500 Euro. In Timisoara, the most expensive apartment is 1,250 Euro per month, while in Constanta, the most expensive housing for rent is 1,700 Euro.
